MSCR Summer - Youth Themed Pontoon Boat Rides

Daughter and I have had great fun in the past summer seasons taking part in the various themed pontoon boat rides that are run through the (MSCR) Madison School & Community Recreation program. The pontoon rides are for children aged 5-10 and they are available on Saturdays during the summer months. See link to schedule below. We highly recommended the Harry Potter and Pirate adventures for your children!

This year's offerings include:

  • HARRY POTTER DAYS
Ride the pontoon boat to a park where children enjoy wizards and related Harry Potter activities. Costumes are encouraged. One participant wins a Harry Potter hard cover book drawing. All participants must register and pay $10 each. Registered children must be accompanied by a registered adult.. At least one adult per family. Babcock ice cream and snacks available at shop across from the park [on your own].

  • PIRATE TREASURE
Come on an adventure to find hidden treasures and enjoy games and activities. Receive a pirate treasure map, flag and telescope. Watch out for other pirates! Pirate costumes are encouraged. Babcock ice cream and snacks available at shop across from the park (on your own). All participants must register and pay $10 each. Registered children must be accompanied by a registered adult. At least one adult per family.

  • PRINCE OR PRINCESS DAYS
Youth receive a crown or tiara and a flashing star wand. Prince and princess costumes are encouraged. Ride the pontoon boat to a park for beading and games. All participants must register and pay $10 each. Registered children must be accompanied by a registered adult. At least one adult per family. • YOUNG PILOTS
Learn to be a captain! Our crew teaches youth how to ready the boat, navigate and take care of equipment. Receive a captain’s hat and certificate of completion. Drive the boat under close supervision. This is not a formal boating safety class, just a fun outing for youth interested in boating. Program best suited for ages 5 - 10. All participants must register and pay $10 each. Registered children must be accompanied by a registered adult. At least one adult per family.
