Valentine Surprise for Children

Happy Valentine's Day!

You don't need to purchase a Hallmark card to tell your children how much they are loved and cherished. Here's a low budget idea to surprise your children for Valentine's Day.

Cut out a bunch of differently sized heart shapes from colored construction paper (pink, red, and white).

Write sweet things to your child upon each heart. Make lots for greatest effect!
Examples:
  • UR Loved
  • Sweet
  • UR Cute
  • QTpa2T
  • Cherished
  • Funny
  • Kind
  • etc...you get the picture
Place the hearts on top of their bed to discover at bedtime. Have your child read the words of love outloud to you. Enjoy the moment!

I did this last year for my daughter, and she was crying happy tears by the time she was finished reading each heart. Enjoy!
